Group Fitness Instructor (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu)
We are seeking an energetic, reliable, and passionate Group Fitness Instructor to teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at a high-profile company's fitness center in San Francisco, CA. This role involves developing effective, engaging, and motivating class formats with fun and appropriate playlists, driving client results by building class attendance, and offering alternative movements to accommodate all fitness levels. There is also an opportunity to provide class coverage at multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead engaging Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes for all fitness levels.
- Build class attendance and motivate participants through dynamic instruction.
- Provide alternative movements to accommodate varying skill and fitness levels.
- Cover classes at multiple locations as needed.
- Network, engage, and interact professionally with clients, guests, and participants.
- Communicate effectively using appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
Requirements
- Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification or specialty class certificate (e.g., Zumba®).
- Current CPR/AED certification (no online certifications accepted).
- Prior experience in Group Fitness, Personal Training, corporate health promotion, wellness, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of the fitness industry and customer service skills.
- Ability to engage participants effectively as a public speaker.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Pay
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $75, based on factors including education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and business needs.
