Position Overview
As a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) at Attain Behavioral Health, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome substance abuse challenges and achieve lasting recovery. You will work closely with our team of professionals to provide support and assistance to clients, fostering a safe and nurturing environment for their rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client intake assessments and assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate group and individual counseling sessions under the supervision of a licensed counselor.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to client care.
- Educate clients and their families about substance use disorders and the recovery process.
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA and Title 42 CFR Part 2, ensuring strict confidentiality of client information.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Valid Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) certification in Ohio.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to helping individuals on their path to recovery.
- Knowledge of substance abuse treatment and counseling techniques.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
- Peer Recovery Supporter (PRS).
- Certification: Valid CDCA certification from the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.
- Qualified Mental Health Specialist III (QMHS III) (Preferred).
