Group Exercise Instructor (Pilates and Barre)- Mahwah Life Styles, Per diem
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Supervisor, Medical Fitness, the Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for instructing their assigned exercise classes.
About the role
Nationally recognized Group Exercise certification required from an organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) including, but not limited to: American Council on Exercise (ACE), AFAA, NETA, etc.
Responsibilities
- Instruct assigned exercise classes.
- Maintain current CPR BLS certification.
- Effectively group process skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills to express ideas clearly.
- Effective listening skills.
- Pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Function competently in stressful situations and the changing work environment related to changing client needs.
- Work cooperatively with clients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations.
- Use effective analytical and critical thinking skills to problem-solve.
Requirements
- High school graduate or the equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of group exercise teaching experience.
