Group Exercise Area Director

About the role

The Group Exercise Area Director oversees the operation and promotion of group exercise programs at our fitness center. This includes managing schedules, coordinating with trainers, and ensuring all classes are engaging and effective.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the scheduling and coordination of group exercise classes.
• Ensure all classes adhere to safety guidelines and are enjoyable for participants.
• Work closely with trainers to develop and implement new classes.
• Manage class promotions and marketing efforts.
• Assist in facility maintenance and cleanliness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in fitness management or related field.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of various fitness equipment and techniques.
• Experience with group exercise programming and marketing.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
