Group Controller - Microwave US

Job Description

The Group Controller oversees financial operations across multiple Teledyne Technologies locations. Key responsibilities include accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, cost controls, and program management. This role partners with the general manager to achieve financial goals and improve cost and compliance controls.

• Examine financial data for insights and prepare financial reports highlighting trends and issues.
• Enforce and advise on GAAP, FAR, DFARS, CAS, and internal policies.
• Manage month-end close process, ensure revenue recognition, and provide timely financial reporting.
• Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with SOX and government regulations.
• Oversee accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cost accounting.
• Create and maintain project budgets, prepare cost estimates, and analyze cost data for cost savings.
• Create cost volumes, ROMs, risk analyses, cost models, and other evaluations for proposals and EACs.
• Manage and mentor finance staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Advanced computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, government contracting, and cost control principles.
• Experience in management of accounting and finance functions and personnel.
• BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA preferred.
• US citizenship.
• Ability to travel between sites on a weekly basis.

Pay & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $188,000.00 - $250,700.00 annually. Actual compensation is determined based on various factors including location, education, work experience, and key skills. Teledyne is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
