Position Summary

The Group Controller will lead financial oversight of multiple RealTruck manufacturing sites and their respective local finance site leads. This includes guiding the local financial team leaders through monthly closing processes, ensuring SOX controls compliance, and providing strategic thought leadership.

Core Functions

  • Ensure all local financial team leaders deliver reconciled financials in accordance with company accounting policies and GAAP.
  • Coach and enforce company and GAAP accounting policies.
  • Lead external and internal audits, as necessary.
  • Ensure and enforce timely and accurate financial reporting, including full Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
  • Ensure and enforce SOX controls compliance to company policy.
  • Drive financial statement analysis, understanding, and accountability.
  • Lead complex matters to resolution.
  • Champion execution of planning processes in accordance with company policies for all local financial team leaders.
  • Oversee the coordination, execution, and monitoring of the annual operating plan.
  • Provide strategic and visionary thought leadership towards success of the annual operating plan.
  • Oversee the validation and accuracy of the monthly forecasting process.
  • Review variance analysis explanations, business risks, drivers, and impacts.
  • Serve as a strategic key business partner to senior leadership for multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Proactively coach and lead financial collaboration across manufacturing lean activities.
  • Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Serve as a thought leader to the local and senior leadership team.
  • Coach and strengthen lean Compass room knowledge throughout the organization to ensure pace and rigor of Continuous Improvement (CI) productivity commitments.
  • Identify and drive elimination of non-value-added activities through the utilization of best practice sharing.
  • Proactive communication to assess risks and areas of opportunity.
  • Champion company strategic initiatives.
  • Develop, establish, and monitor annual plant, department and individual goals; Lead employee performance.
  • Coach and develop Finance team members technical and soft skillsets for continued growth and advancement.
  • Chair and elevate employee engagement to ensure business continuity and success.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. MBA desired.
  • 10+ years’ experience in finance / accounting, including manufacturing environment experience required.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role required.
  • CPA or CMA preferred.

Skills, Abilities, And Knowledge

  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel.
  • Thorough understanding of data management systems.
  • Excellent cost accounting skills; standard cost skills is highly desired.
  • Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Travel 25-50% travel required.
