Groundsman

About the Role

Groundsmen work alongside climbers and Crew Leaders assisting with tree removals, pruning, stump grinding, and cleanup. This role requires physical effort, attention to detail, and strong communication—including professional interaction with customers and the public on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with equipment and vehicle preparation
• Support pruning, removals, stump grinding, and cleanup
• Maintain safe drop zones and traffic control
• Operate chainsaws, pole saws, chippers, and related equipment
• Load and unload debris
• Follow direction from Crew Leaders and Climbers
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
• Follow all safety procedures and policies

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of tree care operations experience
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to lift 25+ pounds
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions
• Strong communication skills and reliability

Schedule

Work 40+ hours per week, including in adverse weather.
