Groundskeeper - Seasonal
Seasonal position with up to 40 hours a week for up to 6 months. Wage: $15.68 - DOQ.
About the role
Under the general supervision of the Building Service Worker, responsible for care and maintenance of landscaping throughout the fairgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Operate mowers, weed eaters, trucks, tractors and other equipment.
- Use hand tools and some small power tools.
- Fix sprinklers and water pipes.
- Weed and maintain flower beds.
- Perform a variety of general custodial functions such as emptying trash, picking up litter, cleaning windows, sweeping and cleaning restrooms and other areas.
- Perform other duties in connection with the operation of the facility.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Some experience in operation of mowers, weed eaters and other equipment and knowledge in landscaping.
- Considerable knowledge of hand tools and mower usage.
- Ability to perform minor engine repair work.
- Ability to maintain service records of equipment.
- Ability to repair sprinkling systems.
- Ability to perform work requiring light, medium, and occasionally heavy physical effort.
- Ability to follow direction and work well with others.
- Must possess or be able to possess a valid Utah Driver's License and have a good driving record.
- Must be adaptable to changing work hours as shift hours may be varied. Working days may include weekends and holidays.
- Must complete a pre-employment background check prior to starting the position.
