Groundskeeper/Porter - The Weathersby at Station Circle

About the role
This role is primarily based part-time at The Weathersby at Station Circle in Charlotte, NC, with additional responsibilities floating throughout the Charlotte region to maintain a full-time schedule. The position ensures the physical aspects of the community are maintained, including grounds, amenities, and curb appeal, while providing support to the service team members.
Responsibilities
- Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, ensuring all common areas and amenities are neat and free of litter.
- Remove trash and remaining items from vacant apartments prior to the make-ready process, transfer trash to dumpster or storage area, and clean/maintain storage areas.
- Complete assigned minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor and/or Community Manager.
- Assist the make-ready specialist in the apartment turn process.
- Change all locks in accordance with property policy and ensure gates to pool areas meet safety codes and standards.
- Distribute notices and communications to residents as necessary.
- Report observed hazards or potentially dangerous situations to supervisors.
- Demonstrate customer service skills by treating residents and others with respect, answering questions, and responding sensitively to complaints.
- Comply with Greystar’s safety and risk-management policies, including attending safety meetings, completing required OSHA training, and reporting accidents/incidents promptly.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods, and bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
- Ability to work inside and outside in all weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, sleet).
- Ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance.
- Flexible work schedule, including taking “call” during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Rare or regular travel may be required to assist other properties, attend training, or business meetings.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00.
