Responsibilities
- Trims, prunes, cuts and/or plants flowers, bushes, etc.
- Seeds, waters, weeds and/or fertilizes lawns, flower beds, shrubs, etc.
- Sprays lawns, flower beds, shrubs, etc. with fertilizers or pesticides
- Affords assistance in designing floral beds and planning plan placement for grounds beautification
- Cuts lawns using hand mower or power mower
- Performs minor repairs of sidewalks, roadways and parking lots and clears them of snow
- Performs related duties such as emptying rubbish barrels; picking up trash; cleaning ditches, drains, and catch basins on grounds or roadways; shoveling snow and raking leaves
- Maintains compliance with established standards for employees involved in groundskeeping work
- Provides on the job training to assigned workers
