Groundskeeper II

Responsibilities

• Trims, prunes, cuts and/or plants flowers, bushes, etc.
• Seeds, waters, weeds and/or fertilizes lawns, flower beds, shrubs, etc.
• Sprays lawns, flower beds, shrubs, etc. with fertilizers or pesticides
• Affords assistance in designing floral beds and planning plan placement for grounds beautification
• Cuts lawns using hand mower or power mower
• Performs minor repairs of sidewalks, roadways and parking lots and clears them of snow
• Performs related duties such as emptying rubbish barrels; picking up trash; cleaning ditches, drains, and catch basins on grounds or roadways; shoveling snow and raking leaves
• Maintains compliance with established standards for employees involved in groundskeeping work
• Provides on the job training to assigned workers

Requirements
