Groundskeeper, Grouse Mountain Lodge
About the Role
Grouse Mountain Lodge is hiring a Groundskeeper to maintain attractive, safe, and welcoming outdoor spaces throughout the property. This full-time, year-round role ensures a high-quality guest experience in every season through landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, and general grounds maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain hotel grounds, landscaping, gardens, lawns, walkways, and outdoor common areas.
- Perform routine lawn care, planting, pruning, irrigation maintenance, and seasonal property beautification.
- Complete seasonal landscaping tasks, including leaf removal, spring cleanup, and winterization.
- Provide snow and ice removal for entrances, walkways, parking areas, and driveways.
- Safely operate and maintain landscaping equipment, snow removal equipment, and plow/sander vehicles.
- Monitor property conditions and address issues that impact guest safety, appearance, or accessibility.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
- Assist with general property maintenance and support the Maintenance team as needed.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
- Remove trash and debris to maintain clean, safe, and guest-ready outdoor spaces.
- Perform pressure washing and exterior cleaning of walkways, entrances, patios, and other common areas as needed.
- Assist with seasonal property cleanups and outdoor improvement projects.
Requirements
- Positive attitude with strong customer service and communication skills.
- Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, or snow removal experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating plow and snow removal equipment required.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Basic maintenance or handyman skills are an asset.
- Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform demanding physical tasks.
- Flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, holidays, and snow event response as needed.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, presentation, and guest experience.
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented.
