Groundskeeper - FT Seasonal

Facility: GSS NE Hastings Ind Hsg • Location: Hastings, NE • Full time, 40 hours/week, day shifts

About the role

Responsible for care of the organization's maintained grounds. Work will include, but not be limited to, all types of outside property maintenance, snow removal, equipment work, and basic tree trimming. May assist with inside maintenance and construction assistance work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repair of sprinkler systems
• Assist with parking lot repairs, such as cold patching/asphalt repairs
• Assist with assessments on grounds
• Perform minor electrical work
• Perform general maintenance work on various equipment
• Operate equipment for basic dirt work and snow removal (e.g., bobcats, trucks with snow removal equipment, power brooms)
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools as well as light and heavy-duty machinery
• Work on high equipment, such as lifts and ladders
• Adapt to learn maintenance duties inside buildings when needed
• Depending on location, function as a seasonal shuttle driver for employees

Requirements

• Trade school or vocational school with courses in landscaping, horticulture, forestry, or park management desired
• Six months experience working with lawn care equipment preferred
• May require applicable State Commercial Applicators License and/or Certification
• Depending on location, may require current valid driver’s license and must meet all medical guidelines for Sanford Health Category III drivers
• Knowledge of mechanics and working knowledge of plumbing, painting, electronics, masonry, carpentry, welding, and landscape technology
• Experience in parking ramp, lawn maintenance, and general maintenance desired

Pay

$15.00 - $22.00 per hour
