Groundskeeper

About the role

UG2 is seeking a reliable and hardworking Groundskeeper to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of a one-story shopping center property. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a clean and welcoming environment for tenants, customers, and visitors while working safely and efficiently in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Empty and replace trash can liners throughout the property
• Pick up litter and debris across parking lots, sidewalks, landscaped areas, and common spaces
• Operate a golf cart to patrol and maintain the property efficiently
• Operate a street sweeper to maintain clean roadways and parking areas
• Use pressure washers to clean sidewalks, curbs, storefront areas, and other exterior surfaces
• Monitor the property for cleanliness, safety hazards, and maintenance concerns
• Assist with seasonal and weather-related cleanup, including rain, snow, or storm debris removal as needed
• Maintain equipment and tools in safe working condition
• Follow all company safety procedures and property regulations
• Provide professional and courteous interaction with tenants, customers, and team members

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License required
• Previous groundskeeping, janitorial, landscaping, or property maintenance experience preferred
• Ability to operate or learn to operate equipment such as golf carts, street sweepers, and pressure washers
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work outdoors for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow
