Groundskeeper

Maintainability

• Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
• Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course

Responsibilities

Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or manager

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Must possess the ability to design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course
• Experience with operating greens/fairway mowers preferred
• Must possess the ability to create spray programs for the golf course including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and landscaping
• Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations
• Must be able to give oral and written instructions
• Must be skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation
• Must be dependable
