Groundskeeper

Duties/Responsibilities

• Mowing lawns
• Trimming hedges
• Maintaining sprinkler and irrigation systems
• Preparing outdoor areas for various weather conditions
• Maintaining gardens and lawns, including planting, fertilizing, weeding, soil conditioning, mulching, and applying pesticides
• Operating and maintaining garden and landscaping equipment
• Assisting kitchen staff to unload food supplies from delivery trucks
• Properly washing and storing all dishes, utensils, cooking instruments and cutting boards
• Mopping and sweeping the kitchen areas as required
• Preparing meal ingredients for the cook, which includes washing, peeling, cutting, and slicing ingredients
• Storing ingredients and food items according to food safety standards

Qualifications

• Required Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of gardening products such as fertilizers and pesticides
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• A valid driver's license and good driving record
• Work schedule flexibility
• Education And Experience:
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
• Familiarity with sprinkler systems and landscaping equipment
• Knowledge of gardening techniques
