Groundskeeper

About the role

We're seeking a groundskeeper to ensure the property's grounds, amenities, and building exteriors are maintained to the highest standards. This position focuses on maximizing the property's appeal and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash and debris from office areas and property perimeter daily.
• Auxiliary in the preparation of market-ready units.
• Pressure wash exterior buildings, sidewalks, etc.
• Assist with property emergencies, including snow removal and other weather-related incidents.
• Clean available apartments and model homes and common areas as directed.
• Address maintenance and life safety issues related to inclement weather conditions.
• Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and curb appeal.
• Interact courteously and professionally with residents and visitors.
• Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Protect and respect resident confidentiality.
• Foster positive relationships with residents, other properties, and agencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• General office equipment proficiency.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
• Professional appearance and adherence to uniform policy.
• Completion and successful passing of the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to shovel snow, apply ice melt, and operate a commercial snow blower.
• Passion for maintaining meticulous curb appeal.

Qualifications

• Experience in property management or similar field is preferred.
• Knowledge of landscaping and maintenance practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of safety protocols and emergency response procedures.

Pay

$18 to $20 per hour, plus a 20% housing discount.

Schedule

Monday-Friday | 9:00am-6:00pm plus occasional Saturdays.
