Groundskeeper

Job Summary

The Groundskeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining the appearance, safety, and operational readiness of our brewery grounds. This hands-on position involves performing irrigation operations, operating various types of landscape equipment, applying pesticides, and managing seasonal activities like snow removal. The role also requires cleaning up trash, conducting monthly inspections, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, safety, and sanitation practices.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform all irrigation operations including starting and stopping irrigation pumps, making repairs, and adjusting/replacing heads.
• Safely and efficiently operate various types of landscape equipment such as weed whackers, ride-on mowers, leaf blowers, UTVs, skid steers, etc.
• Mix and apply pesticides to control weeds and grasses.
• Perform snow removal activities including hand shoveling and operating powered equipment.
• Clean up trash around the brewery including the warehouse truck parking lot.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
• Clean equipment, buildings, and grounds.
• Effectively and thoroughly communicate with all team members.
• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, safety, and sanitation practices.
• Conduct monthly inspections and control checks.
• Champion safety and the use of technology to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Able to work in varying temperatures and climates.
• Able to continuously stand, bend, and twist.
• Able to lift, pull, push, and turn items up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
• Experience with computer applications and mobile applications is preferred.
• Experience with mobile equipment is preferred.
• Able to obtain a pesticide applicator license.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver License (CDL).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
