Responsibilities

• Keep assigned areas clean and safe for guests and staff.
• Maintain plant material for optimum health and appearance.
• Assist with landscaping and construction projects as requested.
• Regularly check assigned areas for trash and ensure safety.
• Weed and keep plant beds and wild landscape areas clean and tidy.
• Irrigate plants as needed and check irrigation systems for repairs or issues.
• Under supervision, assist with planting, pruning, fertilization, and other specialized jobs.
• Under supervision, assist with ongoing construction work as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Good self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
• Some knowledge of general horticulture and/or turf culture.
• Some knowledge of landscape construction (hardscape).
• Ability to clearly understand product labels, written plans, and verbal instructions.
• Ability to interact with guests in a friendly, unobtrusive, and informative manner.
• Ability to work with other department employees as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds (50% of the time).
• Standing (50% of the time).
• Sitting (10% of the time).
• Walking (20% of the time).
• Kneeling or bending (20% of the time).
• Requires hearing and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to drive a golf cart or utility vehicle.
