About the role
Part-time, seasonal Grounds Foreman supervising and performing maintenance on a regional basis for boat-access facilities, including boat ramps, grounds, docks, fishing piers, kiosks, toilet facilities, signs, roads, and parking lots. Position ends mid-October.
Responsibilities
- Maintain grounds: cut and trim lawns and brush.
- Maintain and resurface gravel parking lots and access roads.
- Monitor and perform general care and maintenance of boat ramps, toilet facilities, informational kiosks, and entrance signs.
- Plant grass, trees, and shrubs; water lawns and shrubs; rake leaves and grass.
- Repair guard rails, gates, docks, fences, toilet facilities, and fishing piers.
- Pick up trash and debris; clean boat ramps.
- Prepare reports on time, equipment, and materials used.
- Supervise laborers, volunteers, and contractors performing maintenance of access sites.
- Clean out drainage ditches and culverts.
- Operate trucks, tractors, and riding lawn mowers.
Requirements
- Equivalent combination of 1 year of education and experience after completion of high school.
- Valid New Hampshire driver’s license.
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must meet agency standards.
- Must provide own transportation with ability to haul lawn mower, weedwhacker, and hand tools; mileage reimbursement provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in grounds maintenance including operating motorized equipment.
Pay
$15.93 hourly – 24 hours weekly.
