Groundperson | Utility Line Clearance
Davey Utility Line Clearance is seeking a Groundperson to join our team servicing the Springfield, Ohio region. This is an on-site, full-time hourly position.
Responsibilities
- Provides support for crew members by controlling lowering ropes, limbs, and persons from aloft
- Supplies tools for tree workers
- Controls road and sidewalk traffic using warning devices and other methods
- Cuts, chips, and loads brush and wood
- Ensures proper job site cleanup
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Driver’s license required; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred and may be required depending on job
- Pesticide license if required by state law
- Herbicide license a plus
- Line clearance certification if working near utility transmission lines
- ISA Certified Tree Worker certification or willingness to obtain
Pay
Hourly rate range: $18.12 - $18.94, depending on experience and/or CDL status.
