About the role

Vantor is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves developing, integrating, and managing Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Models-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) products. You will also provide technical advice to senior program managers and executives on space system and segment design and test issues.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, and manage TRDs, ICDs, and MBSE products
  • Provide technical advice to senior program managers and executives on space system and segment design and test issues
  • Perform systems engineering and program management functions in support of design reviews, technical evaluations, and requirements verification
  • Analyze problems, develop technical reports, make recommendations, and work with government and corporate stakeholders to implement recommended solutions
  • Contribute to the acquisition and development of space sensing capabilities

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active U.S. Government security clearance
  • Experience working on large-scale systems engineering, integration, and development programs
  • Experience leading requirements and interface management efforts for a major program
  • Experience coordinating and presenting technical changes across large stakeholder groups through review boards, including configuration control or engineering review
  • Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2
  • Experience performing systems engineering, integration, and testing on space-based remote sensing systems, including SBIRS, Next Gen OPIR, FORGE, WSF-M, or EWS
  • Experience using MBSE approaches to manage system definitions and technical baselines
  • Experience creating and managing Jira tickets and Confluence pages
  • Experience with SysML, Enterprise Architect, CAMEO, or DOORS
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 and 5000.02
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • TS/SCI clearance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
  • 4+ years of experience working on large-scale systems engineering, integration, and development programs
  • 2+ years of experience with performing and leading a team in the development and management of technical specifications, ICDs, concepts of operations (CONOPS), architectural designs, and integration and test plans
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP
