The Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Program) seeks talented individuals in SYSTEMS FIELD ENGINEERING to join a team dedicated to advancing our mission.
As a System Engineer, you will provide technical services and guidance on installation, upgrades, maintenance, configuration management, and mission operations of Unmanned Air System (UAS) Ground Control Stations (GCS). You will resolve technical problems, troubleshoot products, and modify them to meet customer requirements. You will also provide training to customers.
You will be an integral member of a technical team responsible for overseeing complex mission systems during operations. You will collaborate with a broader engineering team to address anomalies in system operation. You will assist in designing, developing, integrating, and testing a variety of mission system equipment onto airborne platforms. Your responsibilities will include organizing and managing multiple prototype development areas, using special test equipment for verifying system functionality, and contributing to the development of several systems such as System Integration Labs, Deployable Shelters, and Fixed Facilities.
You will actively participate in maintaining, upgrading, and building legacy and new systems, often on or ahead of schedule, within proposed budgets. You will support the Hardware Engineering Lead during travel, ensuring local efforts remain coordinated and issues are resolved promptly. You will contribute to the Hardware Engineering team, developing systems including System Integration Labs, Deployable Systems, and Fixed Facility systems across various projects.
The candidate will work effectively with members of the Hardware Engineering, Platform Engineering, Software Engineering, and Integration/Test teams to develop a flexible test facility capable of supporting both development and test efforts. You will lead maintenance, upgrade, and build-up efforts on existing and new systems, working any shift to support customer and test needs. Extended travel is highly preferred.

Desired Skills
- UAV Technology Experience
- Admin experience with Cisco, Juniper, Linux/RHEL, Windows, Windows Server, ESXi, networking
- Computer system administration with experience in troubleshooting networks and computers
- Aircraft modification experience and avionic integration
- Technical report writing
- Experience operating/maintaining support equipment
- Knowledge/experience with integrated logistics support
- Linux/Unix administration
- Must be willing to work any shift to support customer and test needs
