About the role
The Ground Support Equipment Worker is responsible for making repairs to Ground Support Equipment (GSE), troubleshooting malfunctions, preparing GSE for storage and transportation, maintaining external fuel and grounding systems, and performing various maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE
- Inspects, tests, and operates GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation
- Servicing equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air
- Disassembles and assembles malfunctioning GSE accessories and components
- Maintains external fuel and grounding systems
- Operates, cleans, inspects, and services GSE towing vehicles
- Maintains vehicle records, maintains and updates paper and electronic equipment records
- Provides dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations
- Practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention and safety at all times
- Performs all other position-related duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- U.S. Citizen
- 2 years of recent experience working on Automotive/Mobile Equipment and/or appropriate training in functions such as Inspection maintenance and repair
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass and maintain a Security/SCI Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Common Access Card (CAC)
- Meet and maintain all base access security requirements
- Pre-employment drug screening required
- May be required to pass a U.S. Government background security check
- English speaking, reading, and writing skills

Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $36.30 per hour. Plus $8.00 per hour, up to 80 hours per period for Health & Welfare.
