About the role

As a Ground Segment Engineer at Thales Alenia Space, you will:

  • Analyse and understand customer needs through advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes, etc.
  • Formalise specifications and architecture to propose the best solution/product to your clients.
  • Prepare and carry out integration, verification, and validation tests.
  • Define test plans and procedures for system level testing.
  • Ensure the technical integration and coherence of the system design, interfaces, and performances.
  • Design the architecture of the command and control system.
  • Demonstrate the solution to the customer.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Have a Master’s degree from an Engineering School (Electronics, Aeronautical/Space Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) or a University degree.
  • Have proven experience in Software and/or Hardware, Systems Engineering, and IVVQ activities.
  • Be committed to continuous professional development and designing innovative solutions.
  • Have expertise in one of the following areas: conception, requirement management, development, test, integration, or validation.
  • Be recognized as a team player and enjoy collaborative work.
  • Have a synthetic and helicopter view of the organization.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you should:

  • Quickly understand the system in which you evolve (key stakeholders, interactions, products, environment, etc.).
  • Know what a design-to-cost approach means.
  • Be able to adapt and react to change.
  • Be familiar with management and engineering tools such as DOORS, Polarion, TFS, JIRA.
  • Be familiar with Network configuration and administration.
  • Have experience with leading engineering projects or activities.

Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Fluent English, both spoken and written.
