About the role
As a Ground Segment Engineer at Thales Alenia Space, you will:
- Analyse and understand customer needs through advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes, etc.
- Formalise specifications and architecture to propose the best solution/product to your clients.
- Prepare and carry out integration, verification, and validation tests.
- Define test plans and procedures for system level testing.
- Ensure the technical integration and coherence of the system design, interfaces, and performances.
- Design the architecture of the command and control system.
- Demonstrate the solution to the customer.

Requirements

- Have a Master’s degree from an Engineering School (Electronics, Aeronautical/Space Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) or a University degree.
- Have proven experience in Software and/or Hardware, Systems Engineering, and IVVQ activities.
- Be committed to continuous professional development and designing innovative solutions.
- Have expertise in one of the following areas: conception, requirement management, development, test, integration, or validation.
- Be recognized as a team player and enjoy collaborative work.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you should:
- Quickly understand the system in which you evolve (key stakeholders, interactions, products, environment, etc.).
- Know what a design-to-cost approach means.
- Be able to adapt and react to change.
- Be familiar with management and engineering tools such as DOORS, Polarion, TFS, JIRA.
- Be familiar with Network configuration and administration.
- Have experience with leading engineering projects or activities.
Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Fluent English, both spoken and written.
