About the role

This position is with Union IBB Local S1978. The role involves safely and efficiently operating equipment such as track dozers, scrapers, graders, and rubber-tired dozers according to designated criteria. Responsibilities include building level pads to grade using GPS, cutting key, pulling dragline power cables, inspecting equipment before operation, and ensuring it is in safe, operable condition.

Requirements

• A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• One to three years of surface mining experience, working with draglines
• One to three years of heavy equipment operation

Qualifications

• Inspection of equipment before operation
• Compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements and company policies
• Work in compliance with budgeted goals in safety, cost, productivity, and environmental requirements

Skills

• Safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment
