GROUND BEEF MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR 2ND SHIFT

Description Ground Beef Maintenance Supervisor 2nd Shift Description The Ground Beef Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supporting and overseeing maintenance activities within the ground beef production area. This role ensures all equipment, systems, and facilities are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. The Supervisor leads maintenance personnel, coordinates repairs, supports preventive maintenance programs, and works closely with production leadership to minimize downtime and maintain optimal equipment performance. Essential Job Functions Support installation, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment in the ground beef departmentAssist with maintenance, repair, and service of plant equipment, buildings, and facilitiesPlan, organize, and direct maintenance operations to ensure effective use of assetsImplement processes to reduce manufacturing costs through efficient use of manpower, equipment, materials, and capitalApply working knowledge of electrical systems, industrial wiring, pipe fitting, plumbing, welding, shop machinery, sheet metal, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, instrumentation, and PLCs to maintain equipment at optimal levelsOversee setup, repair, teardown, and inspection of automated equipment to ensure compliance with specifications and standardsMaintain plant Preventative Maintenance Records and ensure timely completion of scheduled tasksDistribute weekly maintenance schedules and monitor progressSupport oversight of physical plant facilities, systems, and equipmentIdentify operational issues and implement corrective solutionsParticipate in ongoing support of the Processing Operating SystemEnsure safety compliance for buildings, equipment, and maintenance staffInterpret and enforce company policies and practicesAnalyze and resolve work problems or assist teams in troubleshootingMaintain production equipment to organizational standards, ensuring minimal downtimeRequisition tools, equipment, and supplies as neededContribute to the ongoing development of JBS GI policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assigned to support ground beef maintenance operations Experience Required Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a food processing plant; experience in highly regulated industrial or manufacturing environments will be consideredExtensive experience maintaining and managing building services/systems using contractors and internal staffExperience with quality improvement and risk management processes is an assetHigh school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred Skills & Abilities Required Strong working knowledge of preventative maintenance, facilities management, equipment repair, refrigeration, pipe fitting, plumbing, welding, sheet metal, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, instrumentation, and PLC systemsProven knowledge of building and fire codes, health and safety standardsDemonstrated leadership and people‑management skills in a fast‑paced, multicultural environmentSelf‑motivated, results‑oriented, and able to work collaboratively across departmentsStrong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities EOE/VETS/DISABILITY
