Key Responsibilities
- Manage drill rig cuttings from generation through placement, separation, and final disposition
- Coordinate with the Environmental team to ensure proper handling, segregation, and placement of cuttings in compliance with site permits and regulations
- Plan, build, and maintain drill pads, access roads, and work areas to support drilling operations
- Supervise and direct ground operations crews in daily activities
- Operate heavy equipment as needed, including loaders, backhoes, and other commercial equipment
- Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and site procedures
- Conduct daily field oversight, job planning, and task execution
- Communicate effectively with drilling, environmental, and site leadership teams
- Maintain accountability for crew performance, equipment condition, and job quality
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in waste management, earthwork, ground operations, or similar heavy civil / mining / drilling support roles
- Proven experience operating loaders, backhoes, and commercial heavy equipment
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Strong understanding of ground preparation, material handling, and site logistics
- Demonstrated ability to lead crews in active field environments
- Strong safety mindset and operational discipline
