About the role
ABI Resources is hiring for a Home Care and Community Life Advocate position. We help people with brain injuries and disabilities live safer and more independent lives across Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Help people live safely and independently at home
- Be a steady support and a positive presence
- Assist with daily tasks such as meals, rides, light cleaning, and companionship
- Join clients at appointments and community activities
- Document services with clarity and accuracy using simple tools
- See real progress in daily routines
- Hear sincere gratitude in the voices of the people you support

Requirements
- Age 18 or older
- Your own car, a valid driver license, and proof of insurance
- A strong sense of responsibility and a kind heart
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and keep excellent records
- Clear communication and relationship skills that build trust
- No experience required. We provide training and mentor support
Qualifications
- One year of disability support experience is helpful but not required
- Valid driver license and insurance
- Background check and personal or professional reference
- Drug screening
