Groomer

About the role

Do your dog have a closet full of clothes? Is your cat so cool he needs to wear shades? We call that “petcentricity”! If you enjoy making pets look adorable and smell irresistible, we are looking for experienced groomers to join our pack.

Responsibilities

• Delighting neighbors and pets with grooming services, such as brushing, bathing, and conditioning.
• Grooming and styling pets per owners’ instructions and/or according to breed standards.
• Ensuring the wellness and safety of furry patrons at all times.
• Developing long‑term relationships with pet parents by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that keep pets healthy and happy.
• Conducting community outreach to attract new neighbors into the store.
• Successfully completing Safety Training certification.
• Performing routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment fun and inviting.
• Assisting store team members during grooming downtime.
• Continuing to develop skills and pet‑grooming techniques while growing your career.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or experience under an established certified groomer.
• Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment, or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods.
• Ability to provide your own equipment (clippers, blades, scissors, etc.).
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass drug screening (where applicable) and be 18 years or older.

Pay

Minimum $11.50 USD per hour, maximum $12.50 USD per hour. This is a commission‑based role; maximum pay may vary based on hours worked and weekly completed grooming services.

Schedule

Flexibility required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
