Groomer

Does your dog have a closet full of clothes? Is your cat so cool he needs to wear shades? We call that “petcentricity”! If you enjoy making pets look adorable and smell irresistible, we are looking for experienced Groomers to join our pack! Earn a $1,500 sign-on bonus if you have 1+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Delight neighbors and pets with grooming services, like brushing, bathing, and conditioning.
• Groom and style pets per owners’ instructions and/or according to breed standards.
• Ensure the wellness and safety of furry patrons at all times.
• Develop long-term relationships with pet parents by understanding their needs and recommending products and services that keep their pet healthy and happy.
• Engage in community outreach to attract new neighbors into our store.
• Successfully complete Safety Training certification.
• Perform routine cleaning to keep the grooming environment fun and inviting.
• Assist store team members during grooming downtime.
• Continue developing skills and pet grooming techniques while growing your career.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year or more of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or experience under an established certified groomer.
• Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment, or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods of time.
• Provide your own grooming equipment (clippers, blades, scissors, etc.).
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass a drug screening (in applicable states) and be 18 years or older.

Pay

Minimum USD $16.42/hour. Maximum USD $17.42/hour. This is a commission-based role, and pay may vary based on hours worked and weekly completed grooming services.
