Grocery Stock Controller - Full Time

About the role

The Stock Controller leads and maintains a well-stocked department while delivering exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include supervising overnight stocking teams, delegating tasks, motivating Partners, and ensuring compliance with inventory and merchandising standards. They assist with training, onboarding, and performance feedback, communicate team performance to management, and manage inventory using technology and data. The role involves physical duties such as loading/unloading products and performing night stocker tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate overnight stocking teams, delegate tasks, and ensure standards are met
• Assist with training, onboarding, and performance evaluations of Partners
• Communicate team performance and operational needs to management
• Manage inventory accuracy and product displays
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and store procedures
• Provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and resolve issues
• Perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and moving products

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 3 months experience in stocking or customer service
• Leadership experience in overnight or large teams preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Ability to operate equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts
• Adaptable, high energy, and comfortable working overnight shifts
• Ability to lift up to 66 lbs and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Completion of forklift/power jack training required
