About the role

The Grocery Merchandiser will manage their assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, and tasks. This position requires merchandising, the ability to repeatedly bend and lift up to 50 pounds, and consistent use of mobile apps for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communication. Territory covers Laurel, MD, Montpelier, MD, and Maryland City, MD.

Location: South Laurel, MD (within a 40-60 mile radius). This is a part-time position, 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Sell, merchandise, and gain/maintain distribution within a variety of accounts.
• Ensure clients' products are well stocked; order if product is low or out of stock.
• Use mobile apps for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communication.
• Switch between tasks such as stocking, reporting, and communicating with store teams.
• Lift, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
• Work independently, follow directions, and maintain excellent communication skills.
• Gain and maintain product distribution by building relationships with store teams.
• Perform retail tasks including ordering products and stocking shelves.
• Conduct audits in grocery stores and travel within the designated territory.
• Verify accurate product representation on store shelves.
• Maintain a safe working environment and professional appearance.
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift regularly throughout the day.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work in a fast-paced retail environment with minimal supervision.
• Comply with store team guidelines and attend client kickoff calls and team check-ins.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation, valid Driver License, and proof of automobile insurance.
• Reliable phone (within 5 years old) with service and internet for daily communication.
• Ability to drive to stores in assigned territory to complete retail tasks and audits.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions independently.
• Previous retail, sales, or merchandising experience is a plus.

Pay

$21 - $22 hourly, based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
