About the role

The Grocery Merchandiser will properly manage their assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, and tasks. This position requires merchandising, the ability to repeatedly bend and lift up to 50 pounds, and consistent use of mobile apps for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communication. Territory covers Laurel, MD, Montpelier, MD, and Maryland City, MD.

Location: South Laurel, MD (within a 40-60 mile radius). This is a part-time position, 20 hours a week.

Responsibilities

  • Sell, merchandise, and gain/maintain product distribution within a variety of accounts.
  • Ensure clients' products are well stocked; order if product is low or out of stock.
  • Switch between tasks such as stocking, reporting, and communicating with store teams throughout the day.
  • Use mobile apps for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communication.
  • Travel to and between store locations within the designated territory.
  • Conduct audits in area grocery stores and verify accurate product representation on shelves.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and professional appearance while adhering to dress code and attendance guidelines.
  • Stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift regularly throughout the day (up to 50 pounds).
  • Work independently in a fast-paced retail environment with minimal supervision.
  • Comply with store team guidelines and attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Reliable transportation, valid Driver License, and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Reliable phone (within 5 years old) with service and internet for daily communication.
  • Ability to drive to stores in assigned territory to complete retail tasks and audits.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions independently.
  • Previous retail, sales, or merchandising experience is a plus but not required.
