Grocery Associate FT

Responsibilities

• Serves as a point of contact for customers, assisting them in finding or suggesting products.
• Maintains the department's merchandise according to the planogram.
• Ensures shelves are stocked with adequate product availability and freshness.
• Monitors and reports any discrepancies in inventory levels.
• Inspects products for quality and freshness, taking appropriate actions as needed.
• Maintains proper temperatures for food items according to food safety guidelines.
• Executes product recalls and withdrawals promptly, securing and removing items from customer access.
• Enforces safety protocols and reports unsafe conditions to management.
• Ensures compliance with wage and hour policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in supervising others preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws related to employment and food safety.
