Grocery Associate
Job Summary
Aids the department manager in achieving sales and profit targets. Restocks products and enhances customer confidence and loyalty.
Responsibilities
SERVICE: 70% - Creates welcoming environment, ensures merchandise is displayed according to plans, maintains product availability and freshness, offers product suggestions, provides customer assistance.
LEADERSHIP: 10% - Promotes teamwork, communicates company and department information, adheres to laws and guidelines.
FINANCIAL: 10% - Monitors inventory, inspects products for quality and freshness, ensures proper temperatures, reports discrepancies, executes recalls.
COMPLIANCE/SAFETY: 10% - Maintains safety standards, handles equipment safely, reports unsafe conditions, ensures compliance with regulations, trains associates on safety.
Qualifications
Education: High School / GED preferred.
Language: English preferred, Spanish helpful.
Experience: 0-3 years supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong customer service, interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills; authorization to work in the US or ability to obtain it; successful completion of drug testing and background check.
