Responsibilities
- Perform all safety checks at the start of shift on all cranes and tools and document as necessary; continue safety checks throughout the shift.
- Paint all manufactured products and apply coatings to assembled products.
- Use and maintain respiratory equipment safely and properly.
- Seal and store unused coatings safely.
- Clean painting equipment with proper disposal of materials used in the cleaning process.
- Replenish paint in pressure pots.
- Verify adequate coverage of coating on finished products.
- Complete applicable paperwork related to painting.
- Operate cranes, hoists, and forklifts as needed; complete any required training or safety programs.
- Read and interpret blueprints and finishing specifications.
- Complete paint verification forms as necessary.
- Work with supervisors/foremen and EHS to ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Understand and use (M)SDS sheets.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
- Perform housekeeping and other assigned duties.
- Identify, count, and handle hazardous waste, including:
- Choosing and marking hazardous waste containers.
- Moving waste or waste containers.
- Inspecting containers.
- Operating waste-generating processes.
- Managing waste in satellite areas.
- Reading and applying Federal or state hazardous waste regulations.
Equipment Knowledge
- Forklift (trained and certified).
- Paint spray guns and related hardware.
- Respirator and other personal safety equipment.
- Pressure pots/agitator mechanisms.
- Mill thickness gauge.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of painting.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
- Understanding and support of company policies and procedures.
- Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reading, writing, and simple math skills.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year of industrial-based work experience.

Work Environment
The role is performed 100% in a manufacturing setting with activities including standing, sitting, kneeling, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Majority of work performed indoors with temperature variations, noise, dust, and fumes.
- Occasional work in a wet environment.
- Occasional outdoor work activities.
