Grinding Operator 1st Shift

Hourly Non-Exempt position on 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 6am-2pm).

About the role

Set up and operate equipment to produce regrind that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Start up all machinery and equipment; make adjustments to achieve high-quality regrind.
• Complete daily shift reports, logging all necessary production data.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping by following safety rules, reporting hazards, and keeping the work area clean.
• Ensure quality regrind by dumping and transferring it to the proper silos.
• Assist in training new employees by sharing knowledge and information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to operate a sit-down forklift.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to work while standing for long periods (2 to 3 hours).
• Must understand and communicate written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Capable of learning and retaining information on products, operating procedures, and quality requirements.
• Able to work in areas with temperatures approaching 115 degrees.
