About the Role

Prepare boats for assembly by grinding and smoothing rough edges and rough surfaces of boat sections and/or parts. Drill all holes and cut panel and deck openings per each order or model requirements and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Use air-powered sanders, grinders, drills, hole saws, mini-saws, and air files
• Assure all surfaces and parts have smooth edges and holes are cut in the proper location
• Perform heavy sustained physical effort in extremely dusty and noisy environmental conditions
• Wear full-face respirator, Tyvek suit, and hearing protection while sanding
• Keep work area and equipment clean and in proper operating condition

Requirements

• Must be able to wear a full-face respirator 8+ hours per day
• Good quality and attendance habits
• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• Experience using air-powered hand tools such as pneumatic grinders and saws
• Ability to perform walking, standing, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a continual basis
• Ability to work in heat, extreme dust, noise, and with fiberglass particles
• Manual dexterity and ability to use a tape measure
