Grinder – Welding Section

About the role

Perform grinding, beveling, edge preparation, and surface finishing before and after welding. Prepare weld joints in accordance with approved fabrication drawings and WPS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Remove slag, spatter, burrs, and surface defects before welding.
• Operate angle grinders, bench grinders, cutting tools, and other finishing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure proper surface preparation for welding, inspection, painting, or coating.
• Conduct routine inspection and maintenance of grinding tools and equipment.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and ensure proper use of PPE.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the welding workshop.
• Support welding and fit-up personnel in fabrication activities as required.

Requirements

• Experience: 10-15 years
• Education: Bachelor of Social Science in Anthropology
