Grinder - Night Shift (7:00pm-7:00am) $20.00/hr + $1.00 Shift Differential

About the role

We are currently looking for a Grinder to work the night shift (7:00pm - 7:00am) in Dallas, TX. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Pay

$20.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential.

Schedule

Night shift: 7:00pm - 7:00am.

Responsibilities

• Regrind materials for reuse in extrusion processes.
• Weigh inventory and follow the grinding schedule.
• Load material into the grinder and process into pellet form for reprocessing.
• Stage material for upcoming jobs.
• Perform maintenance and cleanup for production and storage areas.
• Know and follow plant safety rules; wear proper PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, and gloves).
• Prioritize tasks and anticipate needs to manage time effectively.
• Operate material handling and packaging devices including forklifts, pallet jacks, banders, and nail guns.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good understanding of basic math for quick and accurate counting and calculations.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organization.
• Adaptability to changes in the work environment and comfort with multiple competing demands.
• Able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
