About the role

The Grinder/Finisher supports the fabrication team by deburring, grinding, and smoothing metal parts to ensure they meet quality standards and are fully prepped for paint or further processing. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who takes pride in producing clean, high-quality parts.

Responsibilities

• Grind, sand, and deburr metal components using hand grinders, bench grinders, and pneumatic tools
• Smooth welds, edges, and surfaces to meet cosmetic and dimensional requirements
• Inspect parts for defects, sharp edges, and surface inconsistencies
• Prepare parts for paint by ensuring proper finish, cleanliness, and surface condition
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Work closely with welders, machinists, and fabricators to support production flow

Requirements

• Experience in metal finishing, grinding, fabrication, or similar industrial work
• Ability to use grinders, sanders, and basic hand tools safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify surface defects
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced fabrication shop environment
