Greeter - Part Time

Provides exceptional customer service by greeting all customers in a prompt, friendly, and outgoing manner. Supports front-end operations through tasks such as handling merchandise, distributing promotional materials, and assisting with customer check-in for firearms/weapons (notification only—never handling firearms). Ensures a welcoming and safe environment for customers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers upon entry with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Actively promote programs including CLUB Membership (US only), VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
• Maintain brand-standard customer service by adhering to dress code (green logo shirt for Bass Pro Shops or tan logo shirt for Cabela’s), wearing a visible name badge, and displaying welcoming body language.
• Process customer merchandise returns.
• Check in vendor representatives, complete visitor logs, and manage visitor badges.
• Inform customers about special events, sales, or promotions and distribute related promotional materials.
• Keep the entryway and surrounding work area clean, tidy, and safe.
• Notify designated staff to facilitate customer check-in of firearms/weapons per company SOP (Greeters do not handle firearms).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer service environment.

Skills

• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Adaptability to new processes and procedures.
• Self-motivation and ability to work unsupervised.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly walks and stands; occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds (light work with constant movement, occasionally lifting up to 100+ pounds with team assistance).
• Constantly communicates with others and performs repetitive motions (wrists, hands, fingers).
• Occasionally works in low or high temperatures, outdoor elements (precipitation, wind), and noisy environments.
• Seldom sits; occasionally performs computer work.

Pay

$14.00 - $16.75 per hour.
