Greeter - Part Time

Join our team as a Greeter and deliver exceptional customer service by welcoming guests, promoting store programs, and maintaining a positive store environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers as they enter the store in a friendly and outgoing manner.
• Actively promote programs including CLUB Membership (US only), VOC, and In-Store Pickup.
• Model brand-standard customer service by presenting a professional image, adhering to the dress code (green logo shirt for Bass Pro Shops or tan logo shirt for Cabela’s), wearing a visible name badge, and maintaining welcoming body language.
• Check in all customers’ merchandise for returns.
• Check in all Vendor representatives, complete visitor log information, and manage visitor badges.
• Inform customers about special events, sales, or promotions, and distribute promotional materials.
• Ensure the entryway and surrounding work area remain clean, tidy, and safe for customers and staff.
• Assist with customer check-in of firearms/weapons by notifying the appropriate trained Outfitter (Greeters do not handle firearms).
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a customer service environment.

Skills

• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Adaptability to new processes and procedures.
• Self-motivation and ability to work unsupervised.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly walk and stand; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
• Constantly repeat motions involving wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Occasionally work in low or high temperatures, outdoor elements (precipitation, wind), and noisy environments.
• Light work involving constant movement and lifting objects up to 20 pounds; occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds (with team assistance).
