Greenskeeper III
Key Responsibilities
- Mowing of tees, greens, fairways and rough.
- Operation of push rotary mowers and string trimmers.
- Raking of bunkers and general bunker maintenance and upkeep.
- Must be able to operate all equipment related to the preparation, repair and maintenance of the golf course and landscape.
- All equipment pre-start, operation and post-use protocols and reports equipment problems or failure to the Equipment Manager immediately.
- Hand watering and fertilizing of tees, greens, fairways, roughs, all landscape collars, approaches, lawns and nurseries.
- Spot spraying of weeds on landscape and turf as necessary.
- Detail of tee areas including picking up broken tees, debris, trash, detail signage and emptying trashcans.
- Hand weeding and top dressing of turf areas.
- Use buffalo or hand blower to clean cart paths, parking, clubhouse etc.
- Collect any rubbish, tree limps, coconut, etc.
- Assist with small scale golf course construction projects.
- Participate in daily golf course set-up, changing hole and tee maker locations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with set-up and break down of special events if needed.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in landscaping, preferably within a residential or hospitality environment.
- Ability to operate landscape machinery such as push rotary mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers, utility vehicles, and riding mowers.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to operate vehicles properly and safely.
- Plant knowledge/Horticultural Practices knowledge a plus.

- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Long hours may be required due to business demands.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
