The RFI concerns a secure 3D data-sharing platform for built and natural underground assets, including water and sewer pipes, gas lines, electrical conduits, fiber-optic cables, and soil composition. Responses must address feasible sensing, data-integration, accuracy, security, and operating approaches without presenting the notice as an awarded implementation contract. The Opportunity FuntoNetwork is seeking a Ground-Scanning Technology Research Lead for upcoming project opportunity: New York City Office of Technology and Innovation. Core Responsibilities Compare applicable ground-penetrating radar, electromagnetic, acoustic, LiDAR-adjacent, robotic, and other non-destructive sensing approaches for NYC conditions.Document achievable depth, resolution, positional accuracy, surface/access constraints, false-positive risks, safety considerations, and validation methods.Develop evidence-based RFI recommendations, assumptions, limitations, deployment scenarios, and questions for the 3D Underground program.Baseline functional, data, interface, security, performance, environment, and support requirements for the assigned component.Design, configure, build, or migrate the component and maintain source, configuration, mapping, and technical decision records.Trace assigned work to the RFP scope, requirement or RTM row, deliverable, dependency, acceptance criterion, schedule milestone, and supporting evidence.Review official solicitation materials and addenda affecting this workstream; document assumptions, open items, exclusions, risks, and required client decisions.Prepare role-specific technical inputs, work products, estimates, implementation details, quality records, and proposal or post-award delivery evidence.Coordinate interfaces and handoffs with project management, business analysis, technical, field, quality, compliance, training, and operations workstreams.Maintain status, issue, decision, change, and evidence records and escalate blockers before they affect submission or delivery readiness.
