Green Chain Puller

Responsibilities

• Pull and sort all lumber production on Green Chain, Sort Chain, or Clear Chain.
• Ensure lumber is pulled into its designated load according to size, length, and grade.
• Stack all units to the correct height and width.
• Verify stickers are properly located.
• Ensure resaw and trim lumber are properly stacked into stable units; band trim units as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other pullers to maintain a safe and efficient production flow.
• Help maintain a safe working environment and safe working habits for all employees.
• Know and utilize all lock-out/tag-out procedures associated with job duties.
• During available time, carry stickers, straighten loads, band units for forklift, and clean up.
• Report any potential machinery defects or safety risks immediately.
• Keep work area clean and orderly; use downtime for clean-up and minor maintenance.
