Grease Technician

About the role

The Grease Technician operates a company service truck and drives to various locations to provide prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal for customers. Primary Purpose: To perform complete pre-trip inspection, drive pump truck to and from customer sites and disposal areas, pump grease out of restaurants and other commercial tanks, clean/rinse tank with a water hose, maintain vehicle operating efficiency, maintain safe operation and clean appearance, courteously interact with customers, submit paperwork, wash truck, and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre-trip inspection including but not limited to checking tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls
• Drive pump truck to and from customer sites and disposal areas
• Pump grease out of restaurants and other commercial tanks. Clean/rinse tank with a water hose
• Maintain vehicle operating efficiency by completing preventative maintenance requirements
• Maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations
• Maintain delivery, vehicle and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments, recording tracking information, and completing driver log and vehicle performance forms
• Work continuously with dispatcher to confirm routes and update with any issues or changes
• Courteously interacts with customers, supervisors, and fellow employees
• Submit all paperwork on a scheduled timeframe to dispatcher
• Wash exterior and interior of truck and cab, under frame, tires, and wheels
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Physical Requirements: Sit while driving and stand while servicing products, use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects tools or controls, repeat the same movements, see details of objects that are less than a few feet away and also at greater distance, speak clearly so customers can understand, hear sounds and recognize the difference between them, walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion, enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling, lift up to 40lbs from your waist to your shoulders, lift 30lbs from the floor to your head, crouch and squat, push 100lbs and pull 100lbs horizontally

Pay

$21.66 – $30.33 / hour

Schedule

Full-time position with an average of 30 hours or more per week.
