Grease Tech Helper (Night Shift)

As a Non-Hazardous Grease Technician Helper, you will assist the Grease Technician in providing prompt, courteous, and complete waste removal for customers.

Responsibilities

• Climb in and out of the truck at each location to assist the Grease Technician.
• Use hand controls to operate equipment.
• Lift the lid off a grease trap using a crowbar.
• Pump grease out of restaurants and other commercial tanks using a pump hose and water hose, then clean and rinse tanks.
• Read route sheets and service instructions for each customer as assigned by the dispatcher or supervisor, and take notes on delivery and pick-up details.
• Maintain vehicle operating efficiency by completing preventative maintenance requirements.
• Maintain safe operation and clean appearance of the vehicle by complying with organizational policies, procedures, and state/local driving regulations.
• Assist the Grease Technician with vehicle and driving records by obtaining receipt acknowledgments, recording tracking information, and completing driver logs and vehicle performance forms.
• Courteously interact with customers, supervisors, and fellow employees.
• Submit all paperwork on a scheduled timeframe to the dispatcher.
• Wash the exterior and interior of the truck and cab, including underframe, tires, and wheels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Sit while driving and stand while servicing products.
• Use hands and fingers to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

• Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.
• Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion.
• Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling.
• Lift up to 40 lbs from your waist to your shoulders.
• Lift 30 lbs from the floor to your head.
• Crouch and squat.
• Push 100 lbs and pull 100 lbs horizontally.

Pay

Salary Range: $20.42 – $27.57 per hour.
