Grease Route Driver
About the role
The Grease Route Driver is responsible for operating a grease collection truck to collect cooking oil while providing quality service to customers.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Pump or load grease containers; ensure cleanliness of container and surrounding area; returns container with screen and lock secured; notes any damages to container or corral area;
- properly completes route ticket with customer signature.
- Responsible for established route as assigned.
- Responsible for company vehicle; keeps vehicle in clean condition.
- Cleans and inspects vehicle; operates vehicle under state, federal, local regulations and in accordance with company policy and procedures; observes all company safety rules.
- Attends all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.
- Maintains excellent customer relations by presenting professional appearance and attitude.
- Completes all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies (route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, accident reports, mileage reports, service forms, etc.).
- Maintains and updates vehicle condition report on a daily basis.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 21 years old with clean MVR.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating similar vehicle to grease route truck.
- Current CDL A license holder with proper endorsements.
- Registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment preferred.
- Works well with others in a team environment.
- Dependable; reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
- Good math and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle and general maintenance.
