GRCHS/GRCES Iroquois Food Service – Food Prep and Server

About the role

Under the supervision of the kitchen lead, this Food Service staff member will assist in preparing meals according to the school menu, serve meals to the students and staff, and assist in cleaning the serving areas and food prep areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional service to students, staff, and visitors
• Assist in setting up and cleaning up of serving and food prep area
• Help to maintain accurate production records of meal components served
• Prepare food in a safe and sanitary manner, following all accepted health department regulations
• Follow accepted practices to avoid cross contamination when preparing meals for customers with allergies, dietary restrictions, or special accommodations
• Complete annual trainings as assigned

Requirements

• Demonstrate Christian character in all aspects of the job
• Display and maintain satisfactory work attendance
• Display and maintain minimum absenteeism
• Work well with others as a member of a team
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
• Ability to lift and carry loads up to 40 pounds short distances
• Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

Schedule

Monday & Thursday 9:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m., Tuesday 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. during the school year
